Joseph McCullough (1922 – 2012) was the 1970 Cleveland Arts Prize recipient, 1988 special citation recipient from the Arts Prize and enjoyed a distinguished career decades long as a national leader in the field of art education as head of the Cleveland Institute of Art for 33 years. Most of his paintings disappeared into private collections as soon as they were exhibited. This is a rare opportunity to view and purchase approximately 20 works which clearly show his periods of “Literal Abstracts”, “Soundscapes” and “Reflections”.
